Stamford, CT (May 21, 2013) — RxSafetyMatters recently received the 2013 Communicator Award (CA) for best mobile site in the category of Health and Wellness. The CA is the leading international awards program recognizing big ideas in marketing and communications. Founded nearly two decades ago, CA receives over 6,000 entries from companies and agencies of all sizes, making it one of the largest awards of its kind in the world.

“We are extremely pleased to receive this award and it is equally gratifying to be recognized and awarded by peers in this industry,” said Purdue spokesperson. “RxSafetyMatters allows Purdue to continue its efforts in addressing diversion and abuse of prescription drugs and be seen as part of the solution to this public health issue.”

The RxSafetyMatters mobile site was introduced in 2012 and enables mobile users to optimize the website on a mobile device like an iPhone, tablet, or a smartphone with a browser. According to a new report from Walker Sands, mobile websites are not commonplace yet, but are steadily gaining popularity – this is because website traffic is increasingly coming through mobile devices. The percentage of website traffic coming from mobile devices jumped from 17.5% in Q3 2012 to 23.1% in Q4 2012.
