Healthcare Professionals
Purdue is dedicated to improving patient care and quality of life through
medical education. We provide the highest quality education in partnership with
healthcare communities for the ultimate benefit of patients and their families.
Our educational efforts focus on enhancing the proper management of patients in pain through programs and literature offered to healthcare professionals. This includes education on
pain assessment, principles of pharmacology, and lawful prescribing of controlled
substances. Additional Purdue programs help to educate professionals on the management of asthma and COPD and on prevention of infection.
Purdue supports a wide range of activities for major professional organizations and
societies at their annual conferences, including seminars, speaker presentations, and
satellite symposia. In addition, working in conjunction with hospitals and other
organizations, we support meetings, speaker presentations, grand rounds, seminars, and
symposia at the local, regional, and state level. These programs help to educate more than
a quarter of a million healthcare professionals across the United States each year.
In addition, Purdue has awarded hundreds of educational grants to pain management
organizations, societies, and institutions seeking to develop high-quality professional
programs. Purdue is committed to supporting and encouraging the highest standards of
education in pain management.
