Purdue is committed to supporting healthcare professionals on the responsible use of our products as well as helping to ensure that appropriate patients continue to have access to the medication they need.

The links below contain information about appropriate use and prescribing of opioid analgesics as well as information about the risks of opioids, prescription drug abuse, prescription drug monitoring programs, and the extended-release and long-acting (ER/LA) opioid analgesics Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS).

The ER/LA opioid analgesics REMS is intended to help healthcare professionals better understand the risks and benefits of selecting and prescribing these medicines and counsel patients on the safe use, serious risks, storage, and disposal of these medicines. Healthcare professionals are strongly encouraged to complete a REMS-compliant continuing education (CE) program that provides updated training on the risks and safe use of ER/LA opioids.
