Medical and Dental Plans

CIGNA Medical Plans:

A choice of three CIGNA medical plans are available to full-time employees. These plans offer members the opportunity to use in-network or out-of-network healthcare providers each time medical care is necessary. CIGNA is the prescription drug benefit manager for employees enrolled in a CIGNA Medical Plan.

The Cigna Access and Smart Choice HSA Medical Plans are Consumer Directed Health Plans which offer a tax-advantaged Health Savings Account (HSA) option to help you manage your health care dollars. In addition to your own contributions to the HSA, Purdue will contribute $500 for employee only coverage and $1,000 for all other coverage levels.

The CIGNA Premier Medical Plan is a traditional health plan which allows employees to utilize in-network and out-of-network providers.

CIGNA Dental PPO:

This dental coverage applies regardless of an employee’s medical plan selection. The Dental PPO allows coverage for dental services on an in-network and out-of-network basis up to an annual maximum.

United Healthcare Vision:

The United Healthcare Vision plan is provided to all employees enrolled in a medical plan. It offers coverage for annual routine eye exams as well as benefits for eyeglasses (lenses and frame) or contact lenses through our national provider network.

Benefits described for full-time regular employees differ for part-time employees. All medical programs offered are subject to an employee cost-share through payroll deduction.
